Privacy Policy

Carbai is operated by Webhero FZ-LLC, Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone, United Arab Emirates. This policy explains what information we collect from our customers — sellers, buyers making next-car requests, and participating dealers — and how we use it.

The core promise

Carbai protects your identity and contact details — not every detail about the vehicle. Dealers may receive the make, model, year, mileage, specification, condition, emirate, photographs and seller-provided notes, because that information is used for matching and offer assessment. Dealers never receive your name, telephone number, email address, expected-value range or private status-page link.

The expected-value range is supplied by you and is used only to route your vehicle to relevant dealers and for Carbai’s own administration. It is not shown to dealers and is not a Carbai valuation, reserve price, guaranteed sale price or representation of market value.

When a dealer makes an offer, Carbai sends that offer to you together with the dealer’s business and contact details. You decide whether to contact the dealer. Purchase offers may come from participating dealerships or clearly labelled independent car traders; Carbai does not present an independent trader as a licensed dealership.

What we collect

When you submit your car we collect and keep records of: your name; your email address; your mobile / WhatsApp number; the vehicle information and photographs you provide; the dealer offers made on your vehicle; the service messages and communications we exchange with you; and, where applicable, the date, time and version of the service-message consent you give. Email and a mobile / WhatsApp number are both required to submit a car.

If you choose to tell us what vehicle you are looking for next, we additionally collect that request: your preferred make or vehicle type, model, minimum year, maximum budget range, purchase timeframe, intended payment method, emirate, whether you are open to similar vehicles, and whether you are replacing your current car — together with the date and version of the consent under which you gave it. This request is shared with participating dealers without your name, phone number or email address, so dealers can respond with a suitable vehicle. Providing it is optional and never affects your ability to sell your car.

Vehicle photos commonly show a number plate. By submitting your photos, you consent to Carbai sharing them, including any visible number plate, with matched dealers so they can assess your vehicle and make an offer. Your name and contact details are never included. You can ask us to remove your photos at any time.

How we use it

We use your information to operate Carbai, including reviewing your submission, making anonymised vehicle information available to approved participating dealers through the Dealer Portal, notifying dealers whose buying preferences match your vehicle, receiving dealer offers and sending those offers to you with the relevant dealer’s details.

Your private status link

We may provide you with a unique private link through which you can view offers, dealer details and the status of your submission. Keep this link secure and do not share it with anyone you do not trust — anyone with the link may be able to view your offers and use the available status controls. We may record page access, offer and dealer-detail views, status changes, timestamps and approximate device and security information, and we can regenerate the link if you believe it has been disclosed or misused.

Public marketing

We will not use your vehicle photographs or submission in public advertising, social media, case studies or public website showcases unless you provide separate, optional consent.

We do not sell your personal information or provide your name or contact details to dealers.

Service providers

We use trusted service providers to run Carbai, across the following categories: website hosting, database hosting, email delivery, payment processing, WhatsApp communications, analytics, advertising, authentication and technical support. They process information on our behalf, only as needed to deliver the service, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Some of these providers may process or store information outside the UAE, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Communications

When you submit your car, you agree to receive operational service messages about that submission by email and WhatsApp. We use email for your private status link, dealer offers and submission updates, and we use WhatsApp for service updates and to relay those messages manually. These are operational messages about your specific submission — they do not automatically subscribe you to marketing, and your contact details are never provided to dealers. WhatsApp is a third-party service and is subject to its own terms and privacy policy.

Analytics and cookies

Our website uses basic analytics and cookies to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

Data retention

Carbai retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and maintain business records. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Dealer contract, invoice, tax and payment records may be retained for the period required under applicable UAE accounting, tax and commercial laws.

Business transfer

If Carbai (or Webhero FZ-LLC) is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, your information may be transferred only as part of a legitimate business or asset transaction, subject to applicable privacy law and with appropriate confidentiality and security protections.

Information security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including restricting access to systems that hold seller details. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your information safe.

Correction and deletion

You can ask us to correct or delete your information at any time by messaging the Carbai WhatsApp number or emailing cars@carbai.ae. We will update inaccurate details, or remove your submission, photos and contact details from active systems.

Policy updates

We may update this policy from time to time as the service develops. The latest version will always be published on this page, and material changes will be noted here.
