Carbai operates a service that connects private vehicle sellers in the UAE with relevant car dealers for the purpose of receiving purchase offers. 2. What information we collect
When you submit your vehicle through Carbai, we may collect:
your name
WhatsApp number
email address
emirate
vehicle details, including make, model, year, kilometres, condition, estimated value, and any notes you provide
vehicle photos and plate number if you choose to submit them
records of offers, timestamps, and communications related to your submission
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
register and manage your vehicle submission
match your vehicle with relevant dealers
send you confirmations and requests for additional information or photos
relay dealer offers back to you
connect you with a dealer if you choose to proceed
operate, improve, and protect the Carbai service
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to unrelated third parties.
4. How your contact details are handled
Carbai uses a masked relay process. Your phone number and direct contact details are not shared with dealers when your vehicle is first submitted.
Dealers initially receive only the vehicle information necessary to assess the lead, such as the make, model, year, kilometres, condition, value range, emirate, reference ID, and any photos you provide.
Your direct contact details are only shared with a dealer if and when you choose to connect with that dealer.
5. Third-party service providers
We use third-party tools and service providers to operate Carbai, which may include providers for forms, databases, automation, messaging, email, hosting, and analytics. These providers may process your information only as needed to support the Carbai service.
Examples may include WhatsApp Business service providers, Airtable, Zapier, Tally, and email delivery tools.
6. International data processing
Some of the service providers we use may process or store data outside the UAE. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to work with reputable providers and to limit data sharing to what is necessary for the service to operate.
7. Data retention
We keep your data only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Carbai service, manage active submissions, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal or regulatory requirements.
If your vehicle submission does not proceed, we may delete or anonymise the related personal data after a reasonable retention period.
8. Data security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, misuse, loss, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.
9. Your rights
Under applicable UAE data protection law, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, correct inaccurate information, request deletion where appropriate, and request that processing be restricted or stopped in certain circumstances.
